On Tuesday, 4,179 new Corona infections were reported by AGES, bringing the seven-day incidence down to 388.1 and reducing active Corona cases by 2,490 to 53,333.
No deaths were registered, but hospitalizations stagnated: 1,889 people were hospitalized with corona, four more than the previous day. One hundred people are cared for in intensive care units; this number increased by two from the last day but decreased by five within a week.
Corona vaccination offer is expanded in Vienna.
Due to the high demand, Vienna is expanding the deadline-free Corona vaccination offer and opening two new COVID-19 vaccination centers. On the one hand, in the Auhof Center, the test street at Josef-Meinrad-Platz will be converted into a Corona vaccination box. Vaccines from Moderna and BioNTech/Pfizer will be offered at both locations.
